Handle Duplicate Lots or Photos

Duplicates may occur when a photo is submitted more than once or when the same lot is accidentally created again.

Review duplicates before exporting.

A Photo Appears Twice in the Same Lot

  1. Open the lot.
  2. Review all attached photos.
  3. Select the duplicate photo.
  4. Remove it using the available delete or remove option.
  5. Confirm that the original photo remains attached.

The Same Item Was Created as Two Lots

Compare:

  • Lot numbers
  • Photos
  • Titles
  • Descriptions
  • Processing status

Keep the correct lot and remove or discontinue the duplicate when the available controls allow it.

Confirm That It Is Actually a Duplicate

Two items may look similar without being the same item.

Check labels, markings, damage, color, model numbers, and photo backgrounds before removing anything.

A Duplicate Has Already Been Exported

Correct the auction in LotJitsu and create a new export package if the duplicate affects your platform import.

Clearly identify the newer package so it is not confused with the earlier version.
