Prepare Your Device Before an Auction

A few minutes of preparation can prevent interruptions while capturing lots.

Charge Your Device

Begin with a fully charged phone or tablet.

Bring a charging cable, portable battery, or access to a power outlet when working for several hours.

Check Available Storage

Make sure your device has enough space for new photos.

Remove unneeded videos, downloads, or duplicate images when storage is almost full.

Test the Camera

Open LotJitsu and confirm that:

  • The camera opens
  • Photos can be taken
  • Existing photos can be selected
  • Lot numbers can be entered
  • A test upload completes successfully

Delete or clearly label the test auction so it is not confused with real work.

Check Your Internet Connection

Confirm that Wi-Fi or cellular service is available in the area where you will work.

Walk through different parts of the building to identify weak signal areas.

Clean the Camera Lens

Wipe the camera lens with a soft, clean cloth.

Dust, fingerprints, and moisture can make every photo look blurry.

Adjust Device Settings

Consider:

  • Increasing screen brightness in dark rooms
  • Turning off automatic screen locking during active work
  • Disabling battery-saving settings that interrupt uploads
  • Allowing LotJitsu to access the camera and photo library

Restore your preferred settings when the work is complete.
