Understand How LotJitsu Uses Your Photos

LotJitsu uses the photos you submit to help create and organize auction listings.

Photos Support Listing Creation

Photos may be used to:

  • Identify visible item characteristics
  • Suggest a listing title
  • Suggest a listing description
  • Associate images with a lot
  • Prepare the auction export package
  • Help troubleshoot a support issue when you contact LotJitsu

Review Generated Information

A photograph may not show everything about an item.

LotJitsu may be unable to determine:

  • Whether an item works
  • Whether it is authentic
  • Whether parts are missing
  • Whether damage is hidden
  • The item’s ownership history
  • Exact age or value

Always review and correct generated information before approval.

Avoid Including Unnecessary Personal Information

Before taking a photo, remove or cover unrelated personal information such as:

  • Customer paperwork
  • Credit card information
  • Passwords
  • Personal identification documents
  • Private addresses
  • Medical or financial records

Photograph Only What Belongs to the Lot

Remove unrelated items from the background whenever possible.

Objects visible in a photo may confuse bidders about what is included in the sale.
